Kimchee45 is stable in the hospital

It is truly a sad day on the ODT. It saddens me greatly to hear that we have lost @kimchee45. I will miss his humor, insight and intelligence. The man always made laugh. REST IN PEACE my friend and may you and your wife truly enjoy eternity. My condolences and prayers to the family.

Yesterday around 6:40 am Kimchee45 went quietly and painlessly to be with his departed wife.

He was surround by those who loved him and was not alone. He will be sorely missed and the world is at a loss for this fine family man.

In lieu of flowers he would not of wanted any that. The family is asking if desired to send donations in his name to the American Liver Foundation: http://mail.liverfoundation.org/howtohelp/

Or to the Indiana Hunter Education Association, 1540 Kentucky Street, Ferdinand Indiana 47532, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit that may be tax deductible EIN: 35-1940219 https://www.facebook.com/InHEA/ http://inhea.com/wp/

Kimchee45's preferred shooting iron was the 1911 Colt .45 and it was his primary carry gun but he was occasionally known to shoot plastic too.

He was a Navy veteran serving as a Fire Control Technician on the Destroyer U.S.S. Shelton, worked at Chrysler and GM factory jobs and while working obtained his Masters in Electronic Engineering at Purdue University. He received all A's except for two classes where he disagreed with the professors, one being on gun control and received two B's.

He was a professor at Purdue and Western Kentucky University at Bowling Green and moved into a position as Manufacturing Engineer for Delphi Electronics.

His personal favorite work accomplishment was creating a testing piece of equipment that tested car computer chips with 300 volts, unheard of at the time. That product paid for itself in less than 6 months, lasted 10 years (unheard of) and saved the company millions.

R.I.P. Kimchee45 you will be sorely missed...
That's a good ride, RIP

A very sad day indeed, RIP @kimchee45... Thank you for your service to our great country... I enjoyed reading his posts, also being from midwest farm country... Even though I didn't have the privilege to meet Mr. Toad, He will be missed here... Godspeed and my condolences to his close friends and all family... Fair winds and following seas, Sir...
