I’m having knee surgery in 10 days. I have cartilage damage. From the experts, what should I expect? It can’t be any worse than the pain I’ve been having for 18 months. Home remedies don’t work.

Couple days of PAIN, then better every day. Do the physical therapy and when they say you can, do it two more times at home. You will have about a month to break up the scar tissue before it becomes a part of your life. The therapy will hurt but suck it up buttercup you will be happy if you do.

some pain for a few days. just start walking as soon as you can. the more you walk and work the knee the better you will be. use a lot of ice packs at first. bear weight on it as soon as you can. it will hurt but you got to do it. if you wait and don't work the knee you will have problems later on.

3 surgeries on left knee.Up and around immediately.Time for replacement but waiting as far off as possible.Right knee is paining me now.But the 2 knees are 67 years old and have a lot of miles on em.

OP....you having knee joint replacement, or just repair of torn cartiledge???
