Knife- EDC (every day carry) Poll

Speaking of this, have any of you guys taken your pocket knives to a sharpener? I need a Kershaw that needs to be sharpened and I will probably mess it up if I do it.

What?....You aren't serious...are you?

Men...Real men...have been sharpening metal blades on stones for hundreds of years.before that people made cutting tools with stone/stone
Keep your knife blade off of a grinder..that will destroy it,other than that..its pretty hard to mess one up.
Buy a good stone..maybe even sevearl stones and some oil and go to slapping metal to stone,
if you are doing it correctly it will get ALOT sharper..if not..it will get a little more dull..then practice till its sharp again.

Go to You-tube and watch videoes(100's)of videos on knife sharpening...Good Luck.

You have to be careful around here when it comes to knives. The firearms permit does not condone the concealment of knives. They love busting people on crap like that. I use to carry my TDI ka-bar alot. Not any more.

i thought under sb308 you're weapons permit now allows you to conceal carry knives as well?

can someone step in here and verify?

I don't leave the house without my wallet, phone, keys, gun and knife. That's all part of the daily package. I just have a Buck knife with a pocket clip. Feel naked without it!!

Same here, check and make sure everything is in it's place before walking out the door (mostly likely thing to be left inside....keys w/cell phone a close second ). I carry a Bear 3 1/2" blade lockback knife with the King Ranch "Running W" engraved on it. Had it for years, thing is built like a tank.

As far as I know it did. I carry a few different things. Right now I have a Klotzli carbon fiber handle clip point. Most of the time its a Spyderco stainless Endura.

Nope. Its a firearms permit. Does not cover knives. Ive been told this by everybody including the people at the probate court.
