Knife making( playing around a little)

Been making a few simple knives out of sawmill band blades. Been giving them to my family. It’s pretty enjoyable and I have a lot of bands to make them with, the leather sheaths have also been fun

stock removal is so much more straight forward than forging. I tried that last year and basically ruined a bunch of steel and used a ton of propane. Still fun though

No I haven’t but to be honest I haven’t been real serious into it as a regular hobby

Very cool idea. Phenolic material makes for some pretty handles too. Looks dull when you cut it but can be polished to shine like glass.
