not sure if serious.... the 70 series dates back to 1985 or so and has been made in about a dozen configurations. toyota left jeep in the dust at that point.
Nah, Toyota never sought to get the 70 series up to EPA and import regs. These trucks are here for modifications and export. The dealer driving them are using dealer tags so they can drive them, kind of gray market. The only 70 series that can be imported are 25 years old.
There is a guy in FLA that keeps posting a 207-18 70 series for sale, claiming that it's registered. If it is, it's a fluke and will be retracted when found. That's risky for a 70,000 dollar vehicle investment.
They can be used for display, off highway use, but after a period, have to be destroyed, if I'm not mistaken.
