Land to shoot on

wma ranges are hit or miss. I tried a local WMA range, and we had brass hitting us in the face, nobody wanted us to really go hang targets, everybody just blasting just side by side.........

maybe people used to be better about gun safety, but these days a lot of people do NOT know any gun safety. I would personally avoid WMA ranges.

1. Your own land.
2. Family land.
3. Private shooting range
4. Sign up for class

WMA definitely requires a friend to watch each other's backs! ....unless there are active ROs.

I set up my own back drop, and shooting stand, in my west field, a 3 acre field of grass that I mow, I can get 109 yards from my stand, then get closer for pistols, when I’m reloading or zeroing in, it sure is nice!..some pp come over to shoot, but I’m always there, and I never charge, I’m willing to let the right pp come over and hammer down, (no idiots)...

I have been to that range but it was 15 yrs back… it was fairly decent then. I forgot what it cost then but it was cheap.

When I joined up until 2019 it was 900 down and that's prorated NY month and 300 per year after that. Very reasonable for all the venues they have.
