This sow weighed in at 130lbs at the check in station in Pine Log WMA. I can't wait to get back out and do some deer hunting.

It was my first day out after a good many years away from hunting so i'm pretty happy with the results. I had stalked the pack of pigs for 20 mins before getting close enough for a shot with my 22. I also had put some Off deep woods on early that morning since the bugs were out pretty bad and was thinking the whole time stalking them that they'd smell me comming. I think next time i'll pick off a few of the little ones as they'll be easier to drag out & cut up than this old sow was. Thankfuly there was a bank next to the road for me to back my truck up to load it on easier.

Details!!!! Went to Pine Log 3 weekends in a row during small game season. Lots of signs..man..that's awesome! I'm re-motivated to wander Pine Log..congrats! That's cool as hell!

Yeah, I was reading your posts about scouting the area out while hog hunting. To be honest I didn't think i'd have any luck myself. Just mostly looking for places to hunt deer for this season. I still don't know where it is on the map, just how to drive through to get there. Those trails turn left right and the map is almost useless. I just kept a compass on me and walked in one direction from the truck to keep from getting lost. Can't wait to get back out there, if only I could pick up a decent bow to hunt with now.
