Leather workers??

New hobby this year is leatherworking. Got a lot of tools for Christmas and have been learning and studying. Just now starting some projects. Curious of any other leather workers on ODT.

I have been playing around with some leather work for the last year or so. I have done several pad folios, field note covers, holsters, and mag/flashlight holders. It is has been interesting learning a new skill. I don't watch much TV, so I do most of my stitching at night.

Very nice. I do a lot of my stitching at night too.

I love the stock ammo cuff Hopbuilt . A while back I saw john Hancock's 1895 Marlin and it had the retro tang sight and globe front with a nice set of leather sight covers. I like the leather accessories on lever guns.

I've been playing around with leather since I was a kid. Made some laced armguard vambraces, a headband, and a shoulder guard out of an old leather couch on the side of the road I cut pieces off of before trash came by for the renaissance fair in high school, and been in it ever since. I made my daughter a cape out of a nice piece of embossed black scrap leather when we saw Hotel Transylvania. She might make her own moccasins this year.
