left lane drivers

FYI and this is no BS did you know a GSP Officer does not have to show you his radar / laser reading while issuing a citation? If the citizen wants to contest it then the officer has to be able to show it in court. In all reality though most of my GSP buddies will state to someone that is disputing them that they do not have to show them the reading, but will show it to them anyway. 9 times out of 10 this quells the driver.

I can see this argument as well. In all honesty I think that either way if you are impeding traffic even if the car behind you intentions are speeding you should move to the left. If they want to get a ticket that's up to them, not you.
I agree completely.

The 10 MPH "allowance" only applies when using speed detection devices like laser and radar. It is not a statutory expansion of the speed limit to +10 over the posted limit. The 10 MPH limitation is is in the code to help reduce speed traps by municipalities that seek to use their police powers for revenue enhancement.

You can still get a ticket from local LEOs if you get paced or simply speed (no specific MPH listed).

Unless this is New Law or doesn't Apply in the City Limits, I suggest you stay out of Folkston, Jessup, Hoboken and Several others Down here in SouthEast Ga. You do over the Posted your getting a Ticket. Give some lip and you going to Jail.

I agree. I sometimes watch those shows where people yell and cuss at LEO's. They almost always are above the Mason-Dixon. Cops down here (especially in rural parts) mean business. Liberal debating doesn't work in south Georgia.

The law is the law. I never said anything about cussing or arguing with Law Enforcement. If a Local Officer were to ever pull me over for speeding, less than 10 miles an hour over when I was not in one of the areas listed in the state law, I would take the ticket and fight it in court. That doesn't matter if it's North of Atlanta, South of Atlanta or downtown Atlanta. It's a state law.

The only thing I can figure with the "Left lane vigilantes", is that their life is horrible, and it is the only thing they can do that gives them any sense of control over something.

Sucks to be them.

I have no problem moving over. If you want to run 100 and chance getting a ticket, more power to you.
Now if the LE agencies would spend a lot more time out on the interstates, I think you would see a lot less stupidity.
But I guess there is more money in ticketing grandma for not using her turn signal while going to get groceries.

I'll ride in the left lane headin up 85 north..usually runnin about 77-78ish. the way I see it, I'm not gonna move for anyone if I'm doing almost 80. I do it on that road just because there are tractor trailers lining the interstate and it's a 2 lane so you're usually passing a truck and/or other traffic. It pisses people off but I'll be honest, I'm never gonna see em again. They usually end up finding the smallest gap and cutting me off to get around me anyways..just to have me catch back up with them and sometimes pass em right back when they get behind another "me". Then we usually just end up leap-frogging down the interstate which works fine for me because I never exceed 80 and never dip under 75ish so I'm happy:thumb:

i just dont understand why people just simply wont move over if someone comes up behind them.if i see someone comming up behind me no matter what speed i'm going ,i move over.its so simple

I move over most of the time, until I get some asshat that catches up with me, when I get over to the right and they want to ride beside me as we approach more traffic, therefore boxing me behind a big rig.
When I get over, you had better make your move, because I'm getting back into the left lane whether you go around or not.
Really, how difficult is getting a DL in the first place?
