Legal to park on the interstate?

Someone help me out. I’m trying to park on an interstate to access some land for a few hours. The vehicle will be pulled about 20ft down into a gentle ditch, NOT on an exit/on ramp, NOT on the median, and the car will be at no risk of being hit by a car or disrupting traffic unless someone swerved WAY off the road. I asked a cop friend, he didn’t know exactly. He does SWAT, not patrol. He just knew that after 3 days the vehicle would be towed. Does anyone know the legality? I tried researching it, but couldn’t find a definitive answer.

Long as it doesn’t look like you crashed

If it looks like you parked there on purpose , odds are no one will care

You could always have a friend or Uber drop you off

Not legal.. all of the fenced area on interstate is right of way, so you could be towed if the right cop found it . Most likely nobody would bother you

Technically the answer is no it’s not allowed.
But practically it’s a non issue as long as it not parked in an unsafe manner.

Just tell the cops a ODT mod said it was ok they wont mess with another alphabet agency.
