I didn't read all 15 pages of this thread, but why are these weapons called "subguns" ?
That term has a long-established meaning, and that's "sub-machine gun." A compact pistol-caliber automatic weapon (full auto or select fire). If the gun doesn't have a group therapy setting on the selector, it's not a subgun.
The semi-auto-only guns in this thread might all be called PDWs-- Personal Defensive Weapons. I think that's a more generic term that covers pistols based on Submachinegun designs, pistols with braces, SBRs, and machine pistols / reals SMGs.
