Lets hear from the new guys.

this place is like any other site out there as far as people go... some good, some bad, some quiet, some not... and always the occasional wise ass lol

crazy time to join with the prices where they have gotten to, but everyone i've had dealings with have been great

talked with a few here in PM about different things, always nice- answering technical questions or what not, so far i haven't had a problem with anyone- yet...

It was definitely an interesting time to find/join this site but it has been great. I've met some awesome like minded guys and have really enjoyed reading the forums. The only issue is the wife harping on me about being on the trader.

Lol I feel ya there. But hey women have that dang pentrest site that gives them evil ideas lol.

I think this site is awesome for finding good trades, occasional good prices, and great information on guns, gear and such. My frustration is the lack of tolerance for noobs as they navigate their way through the site, PM protocol, and making offers/trading. The transactions I have completed in person have been very positive and they all have been standup guys. My advice would be the following to a noob based on my experience:
1. Put the actual city where you live in your profile. Even better, refer to mine as an example.
2. When you want to make an offer, PM (private message) the person instead of making an offer within the thread.
3. If you have a Glock that you want to sell for $700 when retail is $500, don't bother listing it.
4. Understand that this site is made up of people. There will always be the token ***hole who seems to get pissed at every post, classified ad, or move you make. Don't sweat it.
5. It's addictive. Be prepared to spend a lot of time here!!

Wow! It took me six months to figure all that out. Nice. I especially like number 4. If you have that one under control, you will be fine.

Hey there old timers just kidding, i dont remember how i came to learn about this site but i love it.
Its so much fun people are so helpful and eager to help. Im new to guns as far as having my own but been
around em my whole life. My brother is a collector and i just got him on here today and he sold one of his guns today.
Over all im learning alot about diffrent guns and plan on collecting many more to come.
Thanks to all for the help and yes i am a noob lol

...and you joined on Christmas day too! Looks like you gave this forum the gift of your delightful company!

Well like I said I was using the BF account making deals why not have my own account. Lets say my attention has been on this forum than my Facebook account. It's nice to meet others with the same interest and love for guns. Doesn't hurt that some are informative with their expertise. In addicted plus I've bought some cool stuff
