This is my SAR-1 that I bought new back in 2000. I was working for AP&W at the time so I refinished it in matte chrome with a nickel base coat. All the internals are polished chrome. I did 4 30rnd and 1 10rnd mags to match.

Bling bling! That looks good. I'm not usually a fan of shiny rifles, but that thing looks nice.

Bling bling! That looks good. I'm not usually a fan of shiny rifles, but that thing looks nice.

Its more of a dull light silver. It just looks bright in pics. I did it when I was 20. Since then became more of a purist so I purchased an all original version and am keeping it that way.

It's definitely a nice rifle either way. It's unique. It's not something that everybody and their brother has.
