I was thinking it may be a fake also but OP could verify where it came from. If it’s sighted in I would just let it do its job and not give it another thought.

Even if not sighted in, the incorrectly marked elevation turret isn't going to mess anything up.

Clockwise is DOWN, and counterclockwise is UP.

I agree. If its not on the gun maybe send it back if its installed just use it.
