Leveling kit

I have a BDS 2.5 leveling kit with the fox 2.0 rear shocks and supersprings in the rear.... it rides and tows fine.

Keep in mind my trailer is extremely tongue heavy because that’s where all
the batteries, pumps, oil, etc is that makes the trailer work.... plus it’s really the only good place to load plywood, plates, etc....

That’s about 5000-5500lbs behind it.

We are getting a new camper Saturday. 4800lb dry so figure 6000ish loaded. Quite a bit under my tow rating and quite a bit lighter than my current camper.

The young punk in me wants the truck higher but the old man in me doesn’t want to sacrifice my ride or capacity.

What does a leveling kit do to ride and towing capacity?

Ride and control. The closer to level (and balance) the trailer tongue is when loaded, the easier it will be to control when backing. The trailer will also tend to push/pull you less during breaking when level (less surging). I prefer a vehicle I'm going to tow with to be level with the trailer loaded, which means the back end is a actually bit high without a trailer.

Just post a few pictures of your truck man
It’s currently riding on a set of 275/65/20 tires, which measure out to be 33x10.80
