Is it just me or are the prices for these lever guns an absolute joke? When did they get so ridiculously high? I have to spend close to $700 OTD for a Remington/Marlin (sub quality gun) 357 lever...... I have to be dreaming

Rossi or Taurus make nice ones. Lots of aftermarket kits to smooth them out/slick them up if you want/need to.

whatever you do, don't look at original 1873 winchesters. You'll choke yourself.

JimmyD1, man I can understand! $700 for a "Remlin"! No way I would pay that for one of those. Others have mentioned Rossi, which is a nice lever gun for less than the "Remlin", or a brand new Henry for about the same money as the "Remlin".
Marlin JM stamped .357 models are a bit higher, but that has to do with the fact that all the JM stamped Marlin .357s have been made. Supply and demand.

Good luck finding what you want.
