Lever Gun Porn

Picked up another unicorn gun of mine. It's a JM stamp 1894c .357 magnum.......unfired!!! I figured it would take longer to find one but it only took about 3 weeks. Must be living right. Sorry for the crappy pic. Too dark outside when I got home

Congrats. That's a good picture. Have you seen some of mine? LOL

Great rifle. Enjoy.

Found a sorta-rare Unicorn today (of mine, anyways). This is an Ithaca Saddlegun. Not the standard Model 49 or 49R, but this is a high quality Model 72 in 22 Magnum. These are made in West Germany and are super smooth, well made lever guns on a par with the Winchester 9422. In fact, the action is much smoother than my 94's, and are even smoother than the Henrys.

Now that I have both 22LR and 22WMRF, I have the "set," which is always the goal... right?

Nice catch. I have one, and I love it. These can be difficult to find, especially stainless. Congrats!

BTW, there was a discussion, CQB27, about Marlin Marauders in some previous posts. I failed to mention that I saw a Marauder at the gun show at the Expo Center. It was not in 30/30 it was a .35 rem, which is even more difficult to find. I was able to look it over, and it appeared to be all original. Of course, the $2200 price tag kept me from buying it, but it was the first Marauder I had ever seen in .35 rem. Oh, and it was not in pristine condition. Some freckling on the receiver and the barrel, but the stock did not appear to have been refinished. I took a picture of it with my phone, but the picture just flat out sucked. I wish it had been a better picture.

JWC JWC I wish you had been able to negotiate a super deal on the Marauder, take it home, and post some of those great photographs you do here!

JWC JWC , @Leatherhead and a few others here take "photographs"...I take "pictures" lol.

Here are a few more pics of my Marauder like cut down pre cross bolt safety 336 in 30-30. It's a banger out to 100 yards and a hoot to shoot!
I have come to the conclusion I will never own a Marauder, so this kinda lookalike will have to do.

JWC JWC I wish you had been able to negotiate a super deal on the Marauder, ...

Yeah, that would have been great!!!!! As far as negotiating, I was standing at the table and the guy next to me tried to get him to come down on the $2200 price.....the owner just said that the price was firm. So I did not attempt to try and negotiate with him.

The Marauder you have, is a sweet piece....regardless of how it arrived at being a Marauder!!! lol

Lol....yeah is a Fauxrauder, but I dig it!

The funny thing about being firm on the $2200 is he probably eventually will get! The last one I saw on line for sale was a 30-30 and it was beat to crap.... sold for around $1000 if I remember correctly.
