This will make you happy. I have 3 mounted on two AR and a FAL. Will never use another rifle mounted light. Best bang for the buck IMO.

I'd recommend a light intended for a handgun, mounted upside down at 12 o'clock. It's ambidextrous and works for all kinds of cover.

I have a gen 3. Very well built. You can take the extension out and run it with 2 cells. its very bright with a nice beam but it is pretty big. Took it off of my AR and now run it on a shotgun.

Sure fire is a great light. No doubt. But they're proud of them suckers.

The TLR1 HL that Cmshoot is sporting is a solid option. Have those on my carry pistols. Works good at 12 o'clock on an AR as he points out.

I just grabbed a Streamlight Protac Rail Mount 2 to try on my cz scorpion. Not as bright as the TLR1HL or the Primary Arms... but seems solid.
