Limb line/set line help

We use a piece of hardware cloth about a square foot. Cut pieces of liver about big as a quarter an lay em out to skin over good. Once an old timer showed me this trick , I never needed panty hose to hold the livrr no more.
Ive never tried the salt idea ,but it sounds logical.

I’ve got my channels trained to eat. Same place same time every day. If I’m in a hurry, I can throw feed out and net them right off the dock. Lol. But that’s not any fun.

Turtle traps! Ive always known ponds have several turtles in them but had no idea until I bought 2 floating turtle traps. They climb on and fall in. Pond is a little over 3 acres. I set the 2 traps with a half can of cheap dog food every evening for 10 days straight. Trapped 431 turtles. Everything from an alligator snapper that may have weighed 20 pounds to soft shell, hog nose and red eared turtles(safely transferred all red eared turtles to another turtle forever home and released them). There were probably 100 baby turtles the size of your hand caught also. I counted them the same as a big one because soon in the future that little thing is gonna be eating just like the big ones.

All good info. Ill be drying some liver this weekend. I may have to get away from the dock where the turtles huddle up to have any luck.

Hooks to big I would guess little cats go to a #2 Hook and see if it’s small cats getting bait. I use 100# braid on my jugs.
17 inch pvc
14 inch pool noodle
I put a hook and swivel on cap
6 ft 100 braid w/4/0 for big fish
I also have some with #2 hooks if I want to catch cooler full of skinners
