They are going to spend tax payer monies to keep out the most law abiding citizens they have.
That offends me.
Only words protected those buildings ever since it became a city, but now the words were changed to only allow 5% of the population to carry in there and now they gotta do something!
The Buford City Commission voted Monday to enact security procedures and possible public screening at government meetings in response to the Georgia Safe Carry Protection Act signed into law last month by Gov. Nathan Deal.
#The statute, dubbed by critics as the âguns everywhereâ law, allows licensed gun owners to carry firearms into bars, churches and some government buildings. Commission Chairman Phillip Beard asked officials to seek the cityâs exemption from the law or consider security and screening measures such as metal detectors.
#âIâm all for guns. Iâm a hunter myself,â Beard said. âBut thereâs a time and place for everything, and a public meetingâs not the time or place for guns.â
