The guy is a scammer. I see him in Griffin all the time. If he needed cash for a bus ticket don’t you think he would have got it by now? When I’m with my son I point out the tells of a scammer, clean clothes, haircut, shoes. I make sure the guy sees me pointing at him as well. Is panhandling illegal in Griffin?

In Athens they have one the cops can't touch, his sign says something like "Just needing a blessing" so legally he is not panhandling. Drives the cops crazy.

It funny to me that you would say "We as christians" about something and have an avatar like that.

Ok guy's I don't know how many of you are christian's and I guess its not my business to know but the way I see this is, Jesus said we are to help one another, It is not our job to judge people, And if this man is a scammer and he very well may be,He has to answer to God for that. We as christians are supposed to help everyone we can, and God will bless us... If You want to help this guy, Take the time to talk to him about Jesus, You may the only way that he ever is saved and who knows Jesus might have sent him...

i had a guy ask me for money for gas, he had a gas can with me

a month later he hit back up, i told him he sure runs out of gas alot, and he should sell the car and get a ****ing bicycle

Looking at the photo it appears he is portraying himself to be a military veteran. Wearing the oversize camo jacket and a T-Shirt that has one word I can make out "military". There are lots of people out there scamming people with begging. In San Diego they would sit on the curb with a grocery cart that had their little kids in it for sympathy. I even watch as the red bucket folks did a dang shift change with their beggers outside a grocery store. I quit giving period!! Do you have some change? Yes I do and keep walking.
The only person holding a sign asking for money that I would have given money too was a guy holding a sign that said "Why lie I need a beer".
