I was shocked when they decided to build the hotel there. It isn't but a couple of blocks from the hood, easy walking distance. However, I guess most people traveling don't know the demographics of the area. I always recommend folks visiting Macon to stay in hotels on the north end of town.

The nearby neighborhood and Ft. Hill, Maynard, etc., aren't that bad criminally speaking. There's crime there, but nothing on the scale of Southwest and South Macon.
