Long Range Optic Opinions Wanted

Looking for a long range optic for a 224 Valkyrie rifle I'm finishing up in an AR platform. Budget is approximately $2,000.
I currently have a Vortex PST Gen II 5-25x50 on another rifle and was considering the Vortex Razor Gen II 4.5-27x56 for this rifle. I know that Vortex doesn't get a lotta love on here, but I'm pretty happy with my other Vortex optics.
I know the Nightforce scopes are mentioned a lot with many happy users, but I have no experience with them.
No competition here, just some bench shooting hoping to get out to 1,000 yds and maybe farther if I can do my part.

Thoughts ?

Gen 2 razor is best bang for your buck in the optic world. Period. Good glass. Tracks well. Tough. Not gonna go wrong with one.

Gen 2 razor or nightforce nx8 4x32. You’ll be happy with either

I'm really leaning towards the Razor at this point, but will check out the Nightforce also.

The NF NX8 is great if trying to really cut weight. Otherwise, no locking turrets and glass is not as good as the gen 2 razor.

Just received mine, will mount tonight and try to get a range report posted on Sunday. Initial impression is that it’s a quality product. My only complaint is there were no stickers in the box. LOL!

I’ve had good service with Bushnell Elite 4-18x44 &3.5-21x50.

There really should be an ongoing optics thread on the ODT where the guys who really are knowledgeable can list and update different optics for different budgets and uses for guys like me who have more questions than answers.
