Long Range shooting at Arena in Blakely GA

Those steaks, asparagus, and chicken skewers were excellent!!
The wind was serious downrange, and the range didnt have any wind flags so it made reading a bit difficult.
The cheat sheet at the range table was helpful also.

True that, its a continuous struggle :hungry: and the car is getting a little snug around the posterior..

I have some takeaways from the weekend either by experience or discussion:

1) 1220 yds is quite possible and repeatable with a 16" AR15 (77gr IMI Razor Core ammo)
2) Reading wind accurately is 80% of solving the shooting problem at least for me
3) BC might be overrated and is not as important as small vertical displacement between shots i.e. consistency (to be tested)
4) Raising the rifle for a more comfortable position, preloading my bipod and supporting the front handguard to control the recoil impulse makes for more accurate shooting and keeping the scope sight picture on target

Not saying this is the solution for all problems buy my takeaways to either be tested or effort to be applied to get better at it.

Any other takeaways?
