Hello, live in the middle ga area and looking for areas to shoot long range (1000 yards) Anyone know of an area? I did see where there is a club in Swainsboro but didn't know if there is one closer. Not opposed to joining a hunting club (just to shoot, not hunt) if it had power lines/gas lines etc to shoot down.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thank you. I clicked on the link and saw there is a precision course in the Dallas GA area. Do y'all know anyone that has attended that course? It looks very interesting and very informative.
Thank you again for all y'alls help.

I’m the Instructor that teaches the courses in Dallas GA. I run courses out to 400yds near Dallas, out to 1,000 yards in Pelham TN, and out to 2,000m in Blakely GA (Arena Training Facility).

Below are the upcoming precision rifle courses that I have on my training calendar. I add new courses regularly, and I also do private training.

I haven't attended the course in Dallas but I have attended just about every other precision rifle course that cmshoot cmshoot offers. The only difference I can see is that you cover the basics as listed in my feedback post and then only shoot to a max of 400yds. You have the opportunity to attend a class at one of the other ranges where you can go out to 1000yds. Really no difference other than not going to 1000yds in one weekend and it if you don't change your rifle & keep track of your dope, you'll get hits at 1000. Shep will work through individual issues such as flinching, etc. and keep the class on track. I've seen him do it numerous times.

Here's my feedback post. You can't go wrong with any of his classes.
