Long range shooting

I got bit by the same bug, it really depends on what you mean by long range. Many will say to got to 6.5 CM for long range, but I went with 308 too. As for semi vs bolt... I have both a built 18" AR10 and a 22" Rem700 I'm in the process of building out. If there was anyone to listen to, cmshoot cmshoot is a wealth of information.

I have two version of my Basic Precision Rifle Course. I would recommend taking one of them before taking Guerrilla Sniper.

One version goes out to 400 yards and is spread over 1.5 days here in Georgia. https://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/t...ion-rifle-course-may-18-25-aragon-ga.1834601/

The other is two consecutive days in Pelham TN and goes out to 1,000 yards. The same information and skills are taught in both, one just take you out further. I will be scheduling another 1,000yd course in TN for the fall. Here’s the course ad for the last one that I taught. https://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/t...le-course-april-13-14-2019-pelham-tn.1801695/

Bolt gun. Easier to control with follow through. Semi autos have a tendency to bounce and knock you off target. Also semis are hard on brass. Semis can be as accurate as bolt guns, but bolt guns normally have the edge in the accuracy department and they have a little added velocity. You can get bolt guns shooting itty bitty groups much quicker as well.
