Looking for a 1911 Restoration Specialist

What do you want to do with it?

I looks like a IPSC shooter’s gun that was converted to shoot Bullseye competition. I would not expect it to have come with the BoMar sight rib, but you might be able to find some info.

Did it belong to the car dealer “Bill Heard”?

No it did not belong to the car dealer "Bill Heard". Just an update to all on this forum. I found Mike Larroca whom was a lead smith during the Pachmayr era and had build a good few Combat Specials under Frank Pachmayr. I'll be retaining his services for this restoration project most likely.

1. If your wanting the broken screws mended and the sight put back on.

2. A standard 1911 front sight staked in and a rear dove tail sight installed

3. Milled rear for a low mount Bomar style sight or low mount Novak and the front sight blade dove tailed milled.

Brian Ott was on the East Side, Douglasville, GA but it appears he stopped working. Gun Smithing can be stressful. He suggest he might do some work still. It doesn't hurt to ask and a special 1911 might spark his interest.

Thank you all for you valuable input. I will keep Brian Ott's number and contact info just in case. Thanks again!

Mike LaRocca would be a good 'un for your Pachmayr Combat Special, as would John Harrison, who is local--Harrison has a LONG Wait List, but as he loves older custom 1911's, it couldn't hurt to ask him about it...HTH....mikey357
