Yes. I got a neon sign power supply a few min ago. 10000 volts. Put it on an old rheostat. Going to make sure I'm being safe and try it out tomorrow!

Yeah, in a few days I'll have to find a place to dispose of or recycle mine if they aren't supposed to go with other trash.

next time you drive by a local scrapyard just throw it out the window

Neon transformer on an indicator switch ran through a foot pedal. I'm scared of 10,000 volts so i make sure to stand back a bit.

Question: how thick of a rubber pad will i need to put everything on to insulate from 10000 volts. Same question applies to gloves and where i may be able to get this safety equipment. Any retired linemen out there with gear?
