Looking for a small deer hunting club

Spoilage could be a problem for field dressed deer if you couldn’t get them out pretty quickly when it’s hot. As a younger man deep in the woods in hot weather, I took a light, well built semi-soft sided cooler with a sturdy strap, a small pop up blind, paracord, and some frozen water bottles. You can leave the skin and guts where they fall on public land. If it is one that would get mounted, they got gutted and drug though.

I’m of the opinion that cleaned quartered meat does not spoil nearly as quick as people think. But, I do agree leaving a carcass uncleaned for 4-5 hours in 80d heat is not a good thing.
