Looking for pine bark fines...

Good luck with your venture! Do you have a background in plants/ornamentals? I’ve been in the green industry for around 25 years and love the thought of starting a tree nursery. Keep us posted how it goes. Btw, I have found that Cowart’s bagged natures helper averages about 3/8” in pine fines. I use to use it in my plantings but find it not decomposed enough for my preference. Many of the container shrubs I buy seem to have that size as a medium, but there usually seems like there a sandy mix along with it.

Thank you. No real background in it, we tend to jump into things and learn as we go :) Just really looking for something for rooting right now. I have tons and tons of wood chips composting to use as potting material when needed.

or cypress fines mulch somewhere near Newnan!! We are starting a backyard nursery (plants, not children :D ) and looking for a rooting/planting medium. From hours of research and YouTube videos; it seems that an inert bark (pine or cypress) is the preferred medium to root cuttings. It is that time of year and I'm having trouble finding bulk supplies via the internet locally. I do have a few possibilities, 1 in Fl and 1 in IL; neither of which list prices, that I will call next week. But I suspect shipping is going to make it cost prohibited to our fledgling endeavor  Any help is appreciated!!!

I just dropped a cyprus last week. All I'm missing is the chipper.

If the price is right I’ll buy about 50 cypress trees for my yard

Just went and got 2 Expedition loads of nursery pots... so, got that out of the way. Now just need some BIG ones and I have a line on those pretty close by.
If you were on my side of town, I usually have a bunch of 3 gallon containers. I also have 5, 7, 15, and some 30s, but not worth the drive for you.
