J/K.. TSA approved locks on all points.. Declare to your carrier. Special TSA Drop to open they review weapon is unloaded and no ammo in same case. PITA but I do it 4 times a year..

Nope, just take it in a factory box. That’s the best bet. 11 pounds or fewer. No loaded mags.

No you can ship the ammo with the gun just in an enclosed case. They just want to make sure the gun is unloaded. Not sure what they do about a long gun approved case.

That’s totally different from the average guy taking his pistol. Naturally they aren’t going to let you fly with an arsenal or cache of ammo.

Flying with the guns and gear is not a problem. I have a large SKB case that will hold all the guns my wife and I need for a match. Even if I could fly with the ammo. I don't want to lug it through the airport.
