Lost my best friend last night...Godspeed buddy

We had to put down my best friend last night/this morning. He was an 18 yr old Jack Russell that was with use for 15 yrs. Poor guy was deaf, mostly blind, and started having seizures for the past several months. We knew he didn't have long but could not bring myself to let him go until he had another seizure last night. He was completely disoriented and whining in pain so we had to put him down.

I have such mixed emotions about it. I feel guilty for doing it but I truly believe it was the right thing to do. I believe he now has a new set of eyes and ears and is no longer suffering.

Love your pets and spend time with them. They love us and are always there for us.

Godspeed Evin boy...you will be missed greatly and we Will meet again in the future.

I have heard that all dogs go to heaven, they get to live as 3 year olds and they get a harem of hot sexy poodles... That's what I have heard anyway...

Wow... 18 years. Obviously he had some GREAT care! You should feel ZERO guilt for taking care of him when he needed you ESPECIALLY at the end. That's what he needed.
It's always very tough.... been there for sure.
