Louisiana Redfish

When i lived in Louisiana the limit on Redfish was 50, used to see schools of Redfish in the thousands flying out to the oil rigs. Used to fish out Venice a lot.

We trolled spoons through a school of bull reds in Biloxi one year and every rod that was out got hit. It looked like a red stain in the water that was 1 acre in size. They were on a school of bait fish. Thousands of reds stacked up 15 feet deep according to the guide and his electronics. That was a sight that I will never forget.

Offshore was very slow. Except for the sharks. Lost 8-10 snapper to them. One small tuna. Kept 8 snapper and two grouper.

It was very slow for Louisiana fishing. But it beats working. We will get after them next year.
