i have it. first time, started back at the end of november and has been pretty much constant since then

i rate it as a low dull setting pain, maybe 2/10, so its not too bad, but it seems to be getting worse. i thought maybe the bed was the cause so i got a memory foam mattress topper. that didnt help, seemed to get worse. i tried stretching in both morning and afternoons, nope.

i went to a chiro on monday, he adjusted my back and told me to ice it and walk at least 20 minutes a day. still a no go. im going back tomorrow to see him for a follow up

sitting is the biggest pain for me. if i stand its not too bad and if i lay on my back on the ground and elevate my knees its pretty much gone.

so, im only 27 and this is bull****. im about to go to an ortho next week if this isnt fixed. anyone got any tips besides stretching, ice, or what not? i ordered a firm mattress topper that will hopefully fix it. im already wearing dr. scholls inserts as well

i am just super mad more than anything and frustrated with this crap

Are you over weight? I lost weight and my back pain went away.

Plus one on the walking. Maybe 30 minutes/day if you can fit that in.

Gotta love free health advice on ODT!

Oh, and hope you can get it fixed! Nothing like a dull pain to set your mood wrong for the whole day!

i am 5'10 and 170 pounds

im relatively fit, but havent been able to work out since mid december because of this crap

Well if you start getting pain down one of your legs you will know for sure. And if the thought of taking a chainsaw and cutting your leg off sounds better than dealing with the pain you will know it ruptured.
ok, that puts me at ease. it is localized to only the small of my back. the chiro said the same thing, that if it was a pinched nerve or bulging disc it would be traveling down my legs

i do personal injury for a living so i have seen the worst cases that require surgery, so naturally i think of the worst case scenario.

sucks you yhad to surgeries for it. im trying the most conservative treatment possible before i go to the next step

thanks for the input

Mine started last Jan...

back and forth to the Dr's and finally in Nov, they told me I have a ruptured disc. It ****in blows dude. Sounds like Distinctive knows all about this....

Tell me about your surgeries, Distinctive. I am most likely looking at one soon....

I have my first epidural injection scheduled for Jan 19th. It cant come fast enough. Im tired of pain pills.
