Lower Carbs for Cottage/Shepard's Pie

Made some Shepard's pie with a twist last night. I made it without using mashed potatoes. There are many recipes on the web that discuss how to prepare whipped cauliflower as a substitute for mashed potatoes. I decided to give it a whirl as an experiment to get a lower carb count in Shepard's pie. The layer that looks like mashed potatoes in the pictures is actually whipped cauliflower. I honestly couldn't detect any difference in flavor; but the cauliflower does seem to make a juicier pie than the potatoes.
