Luck

I just make sure to have a mag with ammo and a chambered round.
That’s very important. I went to get down from my stand Friday afternoon and I always remove the round from the camber before lowering my gun but when I went to do that, I noticed I never put one in that morning!! First time I’ve ever done that in 34yrs of hunting.

Hunting in Hancock County i forgot all my ammo.. I know right, but one of my closest friends had a box almost full and he was hunting a different caliber so, I shot 1 round and dropped a big deer but when I chambered another round, it didn't sound or feel right. After a min or so I emptied the gun and sure enough one round of 270 in a sea of 7mag. Glad it was only one and it wasn't in the pipe..

I keep all casings or broad-head from every deer I kill, so the ones I kill throughout the current stay in my hunting bag until the end of season. I also I have 4 buckeyes from my uncle when I was 17.
