Bought this a while back and haven't ever run across any more of it. It's kind of unusual with what I believe is a nickel copper jacket bullet but I could be mistaken anyone care to enlighten me? It's berdan primed and I was told it came out of Britain anyone know more?

Here's the most common headstamp and some of it is stamped AYR but this appears to be the most common one. 10thmountain 10thmountain I really don't know much about them other than they were belted for a 1919 I had to get the can delinked and run a rag to get grease off all the rounds.

Not to sidetrack, but why does PPU Garand ammo require a plug? I thought it was already reduced power?
It doesnt. You can shoot their M1 Ammo no problem, I should have said get a plug if you have non m1 Garand ammo that is hotter and not made for the M1. I have a garand gear plug in my rifle just in case. I have been known to try ammo out from time to time.
