M1 Garand barrel...am I missing it?

Am I just not seeing the custom match grade target crown?

Here is the description...

Price on this barrel is $320.

CMP has them for $189 and I see no difference in their crown or any mention by Criterion of a custom crown option.

Someone educate me, or have I already educated myself?

I do not know why anyone would want a 90 degree crown. It certainly will not protect the bore’s rifling, and it is probably harder to make a perfect 90 degree crown than a conventional crown.
