OK so I picked up my first m1 garand today and cannot be happier, that being said I think I wanna put it in one of those fancy tactical stocks and make it tacticool. I'm joking, I wanna keep this one all original the way she is except for maybe a refinish on the stock but thats not on the top of my list IMG_20170716_002834.jpg

Lol I can't bring myself to even put a mos in in a new stock so this one will stay just the way she is well minus getting shot some, cannot wait to go to the range

Be sure to het Garand safe ammo! Shooting ammo that is too powerful can bend the oprod. (There is a slight curve anyway)

If you get a ported gas plug you can shoot any ammo.

Make sure if you have any questions you post them here as there is a lot of knowledge here on M1-Garands.
Great Videos MILSURP Collector MILSURP Collector I like the Brownell's videos..
Just remember keep it oiled where it needs oiled and greased where it needs grease and it will function perfectly.
Use any good Moly Lube Grease or Axel Grease.
here is another guide for greasing a M1: http://www.garandgear.com/m1-garand-grease
I use a Q-Tip to apply my grease and have never had an Issue.
