Mac 10 with a Lage 5.56 upper

No drilling needed. They only offer the "IRM" model now... internal recoil mechanism. Not difficult to install at all. Just remove the front pin, and then the MAC upper. There's a long recoil spring you have to install in the Lage upper assembly before you mount it, and Lage provides you the tools to get it done. Install the Lage upper, you might need to adjust the 2 set screws at the rear to ensure it is snug in the receiver. Read the instructions a couple times, and watch their videos to get familiarized with the process so you don't have parts flying, or put your eye out. (maybe wear safety glasses :D)
Pull the bolt back, insert mag, rock & roll.

If you are going to use a suppressor, I recommend dialing the adjustable gas block down a good bit so you don't overspeed your bolt and beat things up.

Everything Lage works and works well, you do NOT have to drill the back out on the new models. They’re hard to come by (cause they work) and you have to get on a list but zero complaints besides disassembly on the 556 upper I can’t seem to ever get the spring to retain but that’s a nothingburger

Ive had very minor issues with lage uppers.
Max 11k ,max 11sk, max 11/15
Swapped the barrel out the 11/15 at around 8k rounds. You do need to maintain your sear surface, the weight of the bolt will round over a hardened lage sear after some time

Was there a problem with the barrel or did you just want a longer barrel?
The detent on the adjustable gas block blew out one day. Took it all apart and just noticed a little throat erosion and decided to swap out for a Odin 10.5". It did tightened up the grouping

I took your advice and ordered a sear and one of the two-piece grips. Thanks for the advice.
