Machete

Cold Steel used to make a great two handed machete. I used mine to cut everything from small 10" pines & under. I used to have two but I was hacking away and a 30" pine with it one day and broke the handle. Now I only have one left.

This looks to almost exactly like it but with a wood handle. I may order a few just to have as spares.

Looking for a durable machete that can be used to cut small trees and limbs. And larger things if I want. Bought a Gerber and within a couple of swings, the blade was already bent/chipped. Any ideas below$100?
Go to machete specialist and get a 228-29” imacasa machete . 2”-3” pine saplings in one go. Anything bigger get a silky catanaboy 500 or 600

Years ago at the buck a rama I bought several from a guy there that said they were used cutting sugar cane. They are fairly thin blades and wide at end then narrow up to handle. They have been great and if sharp will cut right through a 2” sapling in on swing. Wish I had bought more as they were only about 5 bucks at the time

Woodsman’s Pal. WWII style for clearing brush and used as a fighting blade. Still made here in the USA. I use mine frequently on my property. Thick blade and sharpens easily. Never disappointed using one. If you look over the internet you can find copies of the WWII military user manuals; care, use, fighting techniques.
My 2cents.
