Mad Cow disease found in deer

This spongiform encephalopathy and it’s variations occur when a mammal is fed brain and spinal column tissue from an infected animal. The mad cow syndrome went away when they stopped including the brain and spinal cord in the cows feed.

The original researchers were looking at similar condition in lambs and a similar condition in New Zealand was proven to be from the cannibalizm of the same tissue in humans
