For now, I am going to leave them "as-is" although I have been giving much thought to it. If I change them out, I will probably go with a gold or white bead front sight and some type of Novak rear.

If I go for a sight upgrade - I'll go FULL RETARD on the slide and get it beveled, french border with top serrations, high gloss polished and deep blued.

For now, she will stay battle worn and mil-spec sights . . . . .

I figured it was time for an update.

Here are some photos. A few members remarked to me how much they liked the 1911 Quarter Eagle tribute medallion / bone grips, so this photo shoot was taken with those.

It is all together. The ejector and rear of frame need some final contouring and the trigger sticks back (in the pulled position) after the slide locks back on an empty magazine. I've got to research that a bit and fix it. It might be the sear spring tension being too low. The trigger pull right now is 3 LBS - 12 oz.
