I'm looking for a makarov PM. Got $300 or so I'd be willing to drop on one depending on where id have to travel and condition of gun. Bulgarian, or a Russian IJ-70 or similar is what I'm looking for.

As a collector of a few of these now myself you might consider holding out for a German model - a bit more but the ultimate MAK.

As an owner of all 4 types of the PM, I will wholeheartedly agree that my Thallmann mak is so much nicer, it's not even close.
Think of it this way, if you were buying a car, would you buy Bulgarian, Chinese, Russian, or German?
Do yourself a favor, save a couple hundred more and get the E. German.
You will be glad you did.

So are M17s, not what I'm looking for
