Making snap caps?

I just leave the spent primer in. Remove the decapping pin from the resizing die and resize the cases. Then seat the bullet and crimp. Voila.

I've done that too but the problem I had was the firing pin bottoms out the thin metal on the primer after a couple pulls of the trigger, making it just like a dry fire. I wouldn't recommend it.

Remember that in a live fire situation, the primer explosion and the secondary powder explosion puts some backward pressure on the firing pin. If you re-use a spent primer, then you don't have that backward pressure. This can result in another firing pin problem.
