I had always thought of Praying Mantis as cool, HARMLESS bugs. But did I hear that they have a sting or a venomous bite (in relationship to humans)? Something I was surprised about because I had handled them in the past, without any issue...

There's a video of a praying mantis that somebody put in a tarantula's cage.
Both insects were about 5 inches long, but of course the tarantula was a lot larger bodied and thicker.

They met, felt each other, and both retreated to opposite corners of the cage.

Then the tarantula sat by and waited while the mantis found and ate the tarantula's grub worm.

Yep, the mantis is a badass.
