What to know? Looking at a vehicle with one, at a dealership.

Run-away fast unless it carries the original warranty. In normal times it would have had to have been something really bad. Right now, it may have just meant they couldn't get a part to fix something in a reasonable amount of time.

Back in the late 90's I bought an Explorer Sport off the used lot at a Ford dealer. It was a buyback, 5k off msrp, 200 miles on it, full warranty. Never had a single problem.

I had a gmc Acadia that the dealer had to buy back because they couldn't fix a steering issue..

California vehicle originally, buyback was for a front window issue at 13k miles. Atlanta Dealer gets it, has another 40k on it with no issues. All services done at dealership. All documented service records.
Comes with a 1 year bumper to bumper warranty from the dealer.
