Making some headway. I contacted the base commander. Got another phone call asking if I had questions. Only one. When is my son coming home? Today they are sending the paperwork in for approval of travel funds. I told them why bother I'm only 4.5 hours away....I will pick him up. They said it was procedure and with the holidays here things are taking longer. I did let him know as did the lawyer I had retained, that if he was truly sick and was not being treated that we would be in touch again. We will see what happens.

Howie I didn't read all the posts but how did they miss that at MEPS. I had a complete physical before I left to include turn your head and cough and the prostate checked at 18. Something smells fishy. I didn't have any tests at Boot Camp Parris Island just a ton of shots. Granted that was a lifetime ago but definitely recommend a re-test by primary care physician.

Unless I miss my guess, Samples are taken at MEPS and processed in cue, which may take several weeks

Seems the Marine Corps doesn't see him fit to train but they will use him as slave labor to unload trucks and do clean up detail for them.
He may be coming hom tomorrow...everything is a real secret......except for the fact that he has been dropped.....10 others tested positive....one leaving for a bad sunburn and another for having a glass jaw..huh? Hoepfully I will know more tomorrow. Thanks for all of your support

Well they have proceesed my son out.....but it wouldn't be until next Friday that he would be leaving. I called the Senior Drill Instructor and was told I could pick him up tomorrow......a nice 4.5 hour drive in my Honda s2000.....can't wait to see him again!
