Massachusetts man in fear of life, shoots killer Golden Retriever

anything you buy and raise on your farm is livestock.. from cows to horses, sheep to goats, even a rat farm.

Well there you go. Glad we got that settled. Dumbass government just doesn't know what it's talking about.

I'll bet the roundups of worms, crawfish, catfish, tilapia, carp, shrimps, iguanas, sturgeon, mealworms, alligators are a sight to behold. Gators especially, they are a No. 1 bitch to brand.

Get along little doggie !!! Yippee Yie Ay!!!!!

even if the dog did kill the chicken, you know the owner would have
been indebted to you for sparing his friends life
not a chance!!! people who let dogs run loose are the lowest of scum.
they are at least one step below hillary, and thats a fact. they are the most illogical people on the planet, they will blame you for everything their dog does i actually had a man run out cussing me for hitting his dog on my motorcycle.everyday the dog would run at me when i was on my way home, one day it got to me and i hit it. i tried to avoid it, but it was just not the dogs day. i stopped and he was charging me, i pulled off my helmet and said a few choice things to him and threatens to beat him to death with my helmet.. later that day i got a visit from a sheriff deputy,i explained what happened and that was the end of it.
dog people go full on retard quick, just because fido sniffs your junk, does not mean he wont bite or kill... lock'em up or lose them...

Nope, I would not shoot a dog that wasn't a trained attack dog.

I would shoot a dog that was attacking a child, but's not really what we are discussing here, are we?

No, we are talking about an animal who was not trained to stay in the yard, whose owners did not invest in remote controlled shock collar to ensure compliance from their dog. And about a dog that killed someone else's animal and was about to bite a human being.
Dog is no longer a problem. Owners should learn from it. Why is THEIR animal more important that anyone else's?

Both of my Great Pyrenees would wonder away, if left unattended. Both had remote collars when they were allowed to move free on my property. They quickly learned to stay next to the house or to me.
If a collar can control an 80lb+ strong-headed GP puppy, it can control a Golden Retriever

and i would bet any farm that raised those animals would consider them to be livestock

and I consider myself fit, trim and a 60 minute man.

Doesn't make it true.

and im not making up a completely fabricated statement. You found ONE definition stating chickens arnt livestock but there plenty that DO include them and i can guarantee the farmers that do the actual raising of these animals would consider them livestock. But what are you even trying to argue here, that one definition classifies the animal as one thing and another classifies it as something different, but in what way do either of those definitions change what this dog did and how it should be punished, or are you just trying to argue because your bored.
