I have begun shooting ARA and Ir 50/50 in benchrest competition to enhance my longrange capabilities as well as further helping my hunting skills with a .22 rifle.I realize this will not appeal to some here but bear with me.In traditional long range shooting you have to account for trajectory and wind issues.Nothing is more apparent than doing this with a .22 rifle.I shoot benchrest as well as Sillouette at 100 yards and have found both have improved my shooting skills at longer ranges with a larger bore rifle.

We have sevral matchs here in Ga on a weekly basis as well as some just across the line in other states as well as national championships in both indoor and outdoor ranges. You might consider trying it.All you need to do is grab a decent shooting .22 rifle and good ammo a rest and show up and learn the rules as I did.You will not find a nicer group of folks willing to help you with there time to learn this sport and it WILL help you in your larger bore rifle skills.

Yeah, I am just getting started and getting my kids involved. Bought some nice .22 rifles, just need a couple good scopes, and I'm on this thing. Thx for the links.

We has a match this morning in Ooltewah, Tenn at the Chattanooga Rifle club where Greg Monroe put on a stellar show shooting a score comprised of a total of 12,050 points for 5 cards in the ARA match there.Chattanooga is unique in that there has never been a 2500 shot there since they began adding $50 per match to a pot that now is at $2225 and still untouched as you need a perfect 2500 ARA card somewhere during the 5 card match to win it.Think about that a minute,OK now you pay $25 to shoot 5 cards in the match and if you shoot a perfect score you win that pot.Greg had this for his scores and almost had it in his possesion today.Next match at Chattanooga is 10/28 at 9 a.m start and its a 6 card match that will run $30 and pays double points,C'mon ,show up n shoot

Greg Monroe 2410 (2400,2400,2450,2450,2350 Total Points 12050
